Darren De Reuck

If you can answer "YES" to 2 of the following questions, then Boulder Striders is for you! Do you want to ...

1) follow a weekly schedule?
2) train with others the same speed as you?
3) meet with a group for workouts?
4) help achieving the goals you have set for yourself?

"I concentrate on the amount of time running rather than the distance when developing programs for my runners. I feel runners become too caught up timing their distances, and then run their easy days too hard. My focus is that the easy days allow time for proper recovery, maximizing the results of the hard workouts."

Colleen's running portfolio has 4 Olympics Games.

Don't let that fool you. Colleen is really down to earth and calling a group "Group C" was a bit bland.

During the winter training program she formed the "Desperate Housewives" running group know as "DH". The fun continued as the group was awarded kitchen aprons at the end of the winter training.

She has enjoyed coaching the Striders and offers some flavor to a wealth of running - training knowledge to her group.

(I'm the one without fingers in his mouth.) I have been running with the Boulder Striders since 2007. I enjoy racing pretty much all distances, from the mile to the marathon. Being fairly new to coaching, I'll be acquiring coachly wisdom as time goes on, so I have no pearls to offer. But I love running, and love helping other runners, so I hope we'll all have fun out there!

Steve Fether

Steve FetherI have been running for over 30 years, but coaching for just a few years. For me running is about the competition of racing, staying fit and having fun. We'll work hard in the workouts, but we'll have fun. And maybe cookies and beer after a long run.

Henry can go the distance! Henry is an ultra-runner and has competed in running events of up to 100 miles. Besides his ultra-running, he is truly a giving person (always going the extra 94 miles) and organizes running races to raise much needed dollars for the Orphans of AIDS Trust Foundation in South Africa and Boulder's EXPAND Program. Henry also started Beyond Limits, coaching people with disabilities to run the Bolder Boulder. Henry has been coaching with the Striders since its inception and has been a true inspiration for runners of all abilities.
